Eight-pointed star tile. Fritware (stonepaste), painted in lustre over an opaque white glaze. The central field is decorated in reserve against a lustred background with palmettes and split palmettes radiating from a quincunx motif in the centre. The border is decorated with an inscription painted in lustre on a white ground. The reverse shows a shadow transferred from the lustre glaze on an adjacent tile during firing.

(You can click on these, but the ones with "_" in them don't work as facets. You'll see a blank page. We'll fix that at some point.)
