Two-sided engraved copper plate. Both sides show board games in use at the Mysore court in the 19th century, and both sides are engraved with Kannada descriptions of the games. One side describes a board consisting of 144 squares. The central 64 squares (8 x 8) are involved in the game and contain script. The remaining 80 sqauares contain floral designs and 4 birds in the corner squares. On the reverse, a 144 square grid of which 44 script containing squares are involved in the game. The remaining contain floral designs and 2 pictures of a winged creature.
