Plate, earthenware covered entirely with a presumed tin-glaze. Painted with Calanus burning in the fire, addressing Alexander the Great; a figure behind Alexander turns away; on the right two soldiers watch. In the sky a shield of arms for Squarzioni(?) of Ferrara, with Hercules(?) astride the Nemean lion, his club on the ground all proper. The figures are from engravings.
