Plate, slightly convex in centre, with small ridge around rim. Earthenware covered front and back with blue-grey, presumed tin glaze and painted decoration. On the front, two winged putti holding up a shield of arms (white, 3 bends embattled counter embattled orange), probably for Salviati of Florence. Around this a band of `anthemion' leaf pattern; on rim grotesques on a dark blue ground. On reverse concentric bands of decoration in blue.
