Plate with shallow well; slight foot ring. Earthenware covered front and back with presumed tin glaze. Painted on the front with in the centre a landscape, scrolling ribbons and a shield of arms (Italian, unidentified): orange an arm proper with a blue sleeve holding towards dexter a sword proper; on a chief yellow a single-headed crowned eagle displayed black; on rim bianco sopra bianco double-ogee panels; round edge a garland of foliage with berries.
