Broad-rimmed bowl or plate with well. Earthenware covered front and back with presumed tin glaze and painted decoration, including red. In the centre a shield of arms, perhaps for Cappelli or Cappello: per fess white (with bianco sopra bianco) and dark blue, a cap counterchanged. Above the shield is a palmette. On sides cable pattern and roundels in bianco sopra bianco; on rim arabesques in bianco sopra bianco. On reverse, floral sprays and roundels.
