Plate, earthenware covered entirely with a dark blue glaze. Painted in the centre a shield of arms with mantling: 1 & 4 blue (with scrolling pattern in gold), a fess gold; 2 & 3: divided per fess: in chief, per fess white a roundel (rose?) gold; in base yellow three bends gold (?); on an inescutcheon: blue seven roundels gold, a chief gold(?); above is a helm turned to dexter and a crest of a coronet with a bird. Arms for Salamon de Bethune (?).
