Pikeman's pot, of iron, made in two pieces joined in a low comb and with the broad brim cut off. The sides of the skull are decorated with a recessed chevron, and two rows of round headed rivets separated by an embossed band. Two at either side are longer, and held the missing cheek pieces; one at either side retains its square washer. The surface is badly corroded. The comb is damaged, and one side of the skull is damaged. There is a large suspension hole at the junction of the skull and brim at one side, and one section of the comb has a pierced hole and a modern wire holding the two halves together.
