GOLD AND PAINTED ENAMEL PAIR-CASED VERGE WATCH [OUTER CASE NOT ORIGINAL]. Full-plate; fusee. Verge escapement; brass 3-arm balance. White enamel dial, hours I-XII, arcaded minutes 5-60. Pierced gold hands. Earlier inner case painted enamel on gold with scenes from Cephalus and Procris on the inside and outside. Landscapes around the band. Later gold repoussé outer case with scene showing the Sacrifice of Iphigenia; signed. This case not original to the watch.
